This classic car maintains much of the looks of the old 1959 Chevrolet Corvette, with a modern high-performance engine.
Performance
Under the hood you'll find a 6.2 liter V8 engine that offers 485 horsepower at 4400 rpm. As far as acceleration is concerned, this modified classic car offers speeds comparable to that of top Ferrari road sports cars, able to travel from 0-62 miles per hour in only 3.9 seconds!
The maximum speed tops out at 179 miles per hour. The car delivers 431 pounds per foot of torque, 78.2 horsepower per liter of fuel, and weighs 2,491 pounds. This power is all accessible by a manual five speed transmission operating on a ceramic clutch.
This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Car by Pogea Racing was created with a Corvette LS3 engine, further enhanced with LS7 fuel injectors and optimized exhaust flow among other things.
This two-seater coupe model also incorporates the sports brake system of a Corvette LS5 for advanced braking capacity. The tires chosen were specialty Bridgestone Potenza brand tires for their superb performance.
Exterior
In order to accommodate the larger rear wheels, the mudguards were widened to make the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Car by Pogea Racing fourteen and a half inches wider than the classic 1959 Corvette, resulting in a total width of 6.86 feet.
Interior
The interior of the 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Custom by Pogea Racing is based on the color combination of red and white, with a red steering wheel and seats that mimic the Rosso shade so popular with classic Ferrari automobiles.
With additional upgrades of an Alpine multimedia system, as well as satellite navigation, all of the electronics inside the vehicle have been raised to meet the latest standards in technology.
This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Car by Pogea Racing is a beautiful example of American creativity refined by German engineering.

1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS by Roadster Shop

The 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS by Roadster Shop won the award of the 2009 Street Machine of the Year for many good reasons.
The original idea that Roadster shop owner Jeremy Gerber and his customer Barry Blomquist had was to transform the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette into the kind of modern concept car that General Motors would be likely to produce today.
The unique name "C1-RS" represents the first generation of Corvettes (C1) and the name of the creator, the Roadster Shop (RS). It was a revolutionary undertaking, and the results impressed everyone.
Modifications
Under the hood of the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS by Roadster Shop includes: a high performance LS7 seven liter V8 engine designed by Turn Key Engine Supply; a Tremec T-56 Custom transmission made by Bowler Performance Transmission; and a Kinsler Cross Ram EFI injection system.
Other modifications made on the Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS are a custom built stainless steel exhaust muffler, supporting a three inch diameter exhaust pipe; specialty hand fabricated aluminum gauges by Classic Instruments; and the entire chassis carefully sculpted using a 10 gauge steel frame.
Unique Concept
The unique look of the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS by Roadster Shop was achieved by several key external modifications. The original convertible top of the car was removed to turn it into a real roadster model, and the windshield was leaned back and cut in such a way as to give a more aggressive, edgy look to the new Corvette.
Porsche 997 running lights and a complementary aluminum grille bar add to the sporty design. A carefully customized rear lip spoiler extends the natural lines of the car from the rear wheels all the way to the back tip of the car, further accentuating the sleek shape.
The tail light panel was also uniquely created in carbon fiber by Prototype Composites of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The hand fabricated aluminum arches behind the two seats were made to further enhance the car's sporty nature. As a result, the 1962 Chevrolet Corvette C1-RS by Roadster Shop transforms a classic into a modern muscle car.

BMW M6

The year is just in its first quarter but BMW has already unveiled another driving machine for the future, the 2013 BMW M6.
The BMW M6 is available in coupe and convertible which is good news for BMW enthusiasts who always want to have these options.
Exterior
The M6 Coupe and Convertible feature exquisitely dynamic lines that impose a sense of athleticism innate in the M series. The body design accurately displays the power that the car can deliver.
The M6 Convertible uses a supreme-quality soft top that is constructed using the distinctive "fin" architecture. The M6 Coupe comes with an astonishingly contoured carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof.
Performance
Its performance is attributed to its 4.4 L V8 engine that comes with the M Twin Power Turbo technology and these added features:
• High Precision Direct Petrol Injection
• Twin Scroll Twin Turbo Technology
• VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control
• Cross-bank exhaust manifold
Equipped with these features, the M6 can deliver 412 KW or 560 horsepower at 6,000 to 7,000 RPM. The maximum engine speed will be reached at 7,200 RPM. It delivers its torque of 620 Newton meters flat between 1,500 and 5,750 RPM.
All in all, the improved M6 engine provides an engine output that is 10% higher and a maximum torque that is 30% higher than its forerunner.
The 2013 M6 features 7-speed Drivelogic-equipped Double Clutch Transmission, Low Speed Assistance, optimized launch control, and automatic gear selection. The Active M differentials transfer power to the rear wheels for optimum traction delivery. This way, the driver is guaranteed directional stability during acceleration from corners and lane switching.
Aside from handling precision, the M6 delivers optimum stopping power. It is made possible with the 400 mm front, and 396mm rear carbon-ceramic disc brakes.
Having looked at the most important details, it is no doubt that the 2013 BMW M6 is more than just the combination of good looks and excellent performance.

Audi E-tron Spyder Concept

Audi unveiled its E-tron Spyder concept at the 2010 Paris motor show.
The Audi E-tron Spyder concept is a two-seater, open top, hybrid sports car.
The car is powered by both a 3 liter V6 TDI in the rear axle and two electric motors (64kW) for the front axle.
Features
The Audi E-tron concept design is the evolution of the existing Audi design language and at the same time presents the elements which hint towards future Audi cars. The car also borrows some design elements from the sportiest Audi vehicle, the R8.
The Audi design team managed to build a light weight car (1,450Kgs) with a perfect front to rear weight ratio of 50:50, giving it excellent handling capabilities. Also, the intelligent distribution of power to the front wheels help improve the dynamic handling of the vehicle. This along with the cars design ensures high degree of precision while cornering at high speeds.
Performance
Audi e-tron concept is equipped with a 3 liter, six cylinder TDI engine breathes through twin turbochargers and produces 300hp. The diesel engine pumps out a massive amount of torque of 479 ft lbs.
The TDI engine powers the rear wheels. In a smart innovation, apart from the TDI engine, the front wheels are driven by two electric motors.
Each of these electric motors produces 88 hp and a combined torque of 259 ft lbs. The E-tron Spyder combines the torque produced by diesel and electric motors during acceleration through a process called 'boosting', resulting in a massive supercar type performance.
Range
The e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. E-tron is not just a fantastic performance car, but also a highly fuel efficient car with extremely low emission levels.
The E-tron Spyder returns a mileage of 107 mpg on an average. The car can also drive purely on electric motor with a range of up to 31 miles and a top speed of 37 mph which is sufficient for easy driving.
There has been no official word about when we can expect E-tron Spyder to hit the production lines. However, Audi e-tron Spyder concept does showcase what we can expect from hybrid technology from Audi.
